Returns Policy

At Modalità Vacanza, we want you to absolutely love your pieces. If for any reason something isn’t quite right, here’s how to return your item(s).

1. General Return Conditions

You may request a return within 14 days of delivery. Once lodged we kindly ask that you have it lodged at the post office within 5 days.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with all tags attached.

  • All hygiene stickers must remain intact (where applicable).

  • You must provide your original order number and the reason for your return.

Gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned unless faulty. Please see below for our policy regarding sale items and promotional sale items.

2. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return:

  1. Lodge your return via the return portal. We have a returns portal for domestic Australian returns and international returns. 

  2. Once you submit your return, please follow the steps provided to return your piece.

  3. Once we receive and inspect your return item, your refund, exchange or store credit will be processed.

Returns sent without prior authorisation will not be accepted.

3. Return Shipping Costs

Domestic (AU):

  • A return label fee of $12.70 will be deducted from your refund or store credit total, unless the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect.

  • For exchanges, a $12.70 fee is payable when submitting your exchange request to cover the return label. We will cover the cost of express shipping your new item(s) back to you.

  • Store credits receive free return shipping.

  • Modalità Vacanza is not responsible for lost return parcels.

International Returns (US, UK, NZ, Other):

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect.

  • Your return label fee will be deducted from your store credit or refund.

  • Duties and taxes will not be refunded upon returning your item.

  • Modalità Vacanza is not responsible for lost return parcels.

4. Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • You’ll receive a return confirmation email.

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear in your account.

Refunds include:

  • The cost of the returned item(s).

Refunds do not include:

  • Original shipping fees.

  • Return shipping charges.

5. Exchanges & Shop Now - AU ONLY

  • Exchanges and Shop Now purchases are subject to availability. We recommend lodging your return as soon as possible to avoid missing out on your desired item.

  • If your requested exchange or Shop Now item sells out before your return is processed, any sale items will be issued as store credit or returned to you at your expense. For full-priced items, you also have the option to receive a refund.

  • All exchanges and new items will be dispatched via Express Post once received and inspected by our team.

6. Store Credits

  • Australian return store credits will include a bonus $10.00 to spend on your next purchase. 

  • International return store credits will include a bonus 10% to spend on your next purchase.

  • This excludes sale items.

7. Sale Items

  • International sale orders are eligible for store credit only. No bonus 10% store credit will be applied to sale item returns.

  • Australian sale orders are eligible for exchange only. Refunds and store credits are not available on sale items.

8. Faulty or Incorrect Items

We stand behind the quality of every product. If your item arrives faulty or incorrect.

  • Please submit your return request via our return portal and select your return reason.

  • We’ll assess the images and details you provide. 

  • Once approved on our end, we will provide the next steps to have your piece returned.

9. Returns After 14 Days

Returns requested after 14 days from delivery are not eligible for return. Return orders must be lodged at the post office promptly after submitting your request.

10. Restocking & Inspection

We inspect all returns upon arrival. Items that do not meet return requirements may be:

  • Returned to you.

  • Ineligible for refund or exchange.

  • Subject to a restocking fee in some cases (e.g., returned worn, damaged, or without tags).

11. Final Notes

  • We reserve the right to update or amend this policy at any time.
